Does what underwear you wear if a guy matters?

In my opinion, Boxers are the most unattractive undies ever. But what really matters is cleanliness and neatness. I prefer Boxer briefs the most. They're kinky. Briefs aren't bad at all as well. There are some really stylish ones and they suit some people. If wearing briefs suits you then you should go on and try them. If you feel comfortable wearing them then you shouldn't care what others think, also they might look good on you. You never know unless you try. I'd say go for it. Try the mid rise briefs.
